  14. Their 'Vision' machine is a multi-processor VR system based on Inmos
  15. Transputers and Intel i860's. This modular and high speed graphics engine
  16. with its's client-server architecture is said to avoid the processing bottle-
  17. necks associated with conventional approaches to generating and interacting
  18. with virtual worlds. The system supports a range of peripherals including
  19. VPL's EyePhone and DataGlove, as well as Division's own stereo VSound audio
  20. sub-system. Division, partly founded by Charles Grimsdale, wasset up to find
  21. novel applications for parallel architectures. It is being used by ARRL for
  22. development.
